I spent eight years, from 2018 to now, working at Lush Cosmetics right here in Albuquerque.
That’s thousands of conversations with real people about their skin, what they were using, what wasn’t working, and why. Somewhere in that stretch, it stopped being just a job and became the thing I actually cared about.
What eight years taught me
Most skin problems are routine problems.
Skin gets a little dry, so they add a product. That product’s too strong, so it reacts, so they add another product to fix the reaction. Repeat that for a few years and the skin ends up more confused than when it started. Not because anyone did anything wrong on purpose, but because skin is sensitive, and there’s a lot of bad advice out there dressed up as good advice.
I already understood skin better than most people who’d never trained for it. That’s just what eight years does. But there’s a real difference between knowing what’s wrong and being licensed to actually do something about it. So I decided to make it official.

I’m currently completing my esthetician training, 600 hours, here in Albuquerque, and getting ready to sit for my New Mexico state board exam. Once I’m licensed, I’ll be taking clients at a location I’ll announce soon. Until then, I’m taking free consultations, because the conversation about your skin doesn’t need to wait on paperwork.
